Winter Boots

Finally it’s boots weather, and not before long I say! There’s something about Autumnal dressing that I love. I know most people probably love the summer sun, but for me, cosying up in a gorgeous pair of boots and Winter coat is my happy place when it comes to dressing. So the colder weather, for me, gets me excited (until it rains of course… no-one likes the rain!)

So in todays blog, I have been researching lots of boots and there are so many good ones. It wasn’t easy to whittle them down to just 9! But if any aren’t quite your style or budget, then there are so many on the high street and hopefully my style ideas will give you some Inspo on how to wear them.

For me boots go with everything. A pair of tailored trousers, a slinky satin skirt, a mini dress, your favourite pair of jeans - I have always liked androgynous style and even when wearing a dress, I like to toughen it up with boots. But equally knee high or heeled ankle boots can be really sexy, especially over leggings or under a dress/skirt.

When wearing knee high boots with a midi dress, a really good tip for seamless style is to make sure the hem of the dress covers the top of the boots. It just looks so much better and is much more flattering. If you’re like me and have wider calves, it’s so frustrating when you go to buy a knee high boot and can’t find one to fit. But don’t dismay because thee are plenty of brands that cater for wider calves like Duoboots (featured) and also the wonderful Erica Davies has a range launching in John Lewis on October 3rd, so I’ll keep you posted when they go live.

The trend for chunky boots isn’t going away anytime soon and there are so many to choose from for every budget. Options include colourful soles, zipped and lace up. Don’t be afraid to try them, they look so good with so many things and if you’re worried the trend isn’t for you but you really want to try them, then just go for a pair that aren’t too chunky.

Below are 9 ideas of how to style different types of boots and I’ve linked to all the items below each picture. Some links are affiliate links which means I make a small commission on sales. But this doesn't affect the price you pay.

Hope you like my selection and here’s hoping the weather plays ball and stays cooler so we can wear them at last!
