32 Matchy Matchy Two-pieces
There’s something about a matching set that I just love. They’re just so easy to wear. My nan used to rock a twinset as did my mum in the 60s and then when the 70s came along, the two pieces went from structured to easy going in retro florals, lurex and Terry towelling. Today we’re seeing a mishmash of all the eras from tailoring and a simple minimalist aesthetic to ruffles, florals and lots of colour. Towelling has made a very welcome comeback with so many brands selling tops and shorts combos in every colour. And for the minimalists there’s plenty of simple monochrome matching sets with clever cut out or tie details. There’s spots, ditsy florals, big bold prints and stripes as well as gorgeous boho styles, linen, pretty embroidery and soft cottons.
There’s every style under the sun and I’m convinced there’s something for everyone in my edit below.
