Budget Capsule Wardrobe

Yes I know, I’m sorry. It’s another post on Capsule Wardrobes - but the fact is, a capsule wardrobe is essential if you want to create a wardrobe full of items that you can wear time and time again, multiple ways. We ultimately want a wardrobe full of pieces that will last season after season so that it ends up being not only good for the environment but also good for the wallet too.

However, timeless pieces can mean expensive. And I know most of us don’t have the budget for The Row or YSL or even some high end high street brands.

With household bills going up by hundreds of pounds, we’re all feeling the pinch. So if you’re trying to build a classic capsule wardrobe but also trying to save the pennies, then these budget capsule wardrobe ideas might be for you.

I have kept the pieces to a neutral palette, but if you’re after a more colourful wardrobe or want to add in a it more print, then you can easily swap out some of the pieces for more colour. The Cos tees, for example, come in 10 different colours so you could add in a lilac or a blue t-shirt. Or the H&M oversized shirt comes in pink and pink stripe. Or instead of a beige floral dress, opt for a green or yellow or blue - whatever takes your fancy. Mixing neutrals with colour looks so chic. I love pink with beige - it’s one of my all time colour combos.

So you do you - as long as you’re choosing items that will last and can be worn multiple ways, then your capsule wardrobe is your own to play with!

I have linked all items to the pieces below the outfits, but as always you may already have these items in your wardrobe or you could try eBay, Depop, Preloved sites and go secondhand instead.
