Birkenstock Boston Style
Well, who would have thought it. The Birkenstock Bostons have exploded onto the style scene this year and everyone from Kendall Jenner to Dakota Johnson has worn them. However, when Jason Mamoa was seen in them, that’s when I was sold (anyone else got a mad crush on him)!
I probably have a bit of an addiction to Birkenstocks. I think I have at least 5 pairs! But the Boston clogs speak to me because they can be worn all year round and are like wearing acceptable slippers outside, they’re so comfy. I particularly like the shearling lined ones as they work for both summer and winter. Just add socks when it’s a bit cooler.
The problem is though when a certain style gets popular, they sell out everywhere. Shoes that were once easily available suddenly get snapped up like the toilet roll saga of 2019 (who can forget that).
The most popular colour are the clay or taupe and as much as I love them, I actually prefer the black on me and I went for the shearling lined ones, because I like to be cosy!
Birkenstock also have brought out bright green and blue ones for people wanting a bit of colour in their lives, and why not. I have styled the blue ones below with a contrasting bright orange dress. I love the two bright colours together. They would look superb on darker skin tones or sunkissed on holiday.
I have searched high and low to find some in stock for you and have linked below. The taupe colour is hard to find but there are some available if you’re bigger than a size 7 or smaller than a size 4. But they do keep getting restocked in lots of independent stores, so i’ll keep searching and let you know if I find a full range of sizes. Linked below.
